The Motorola A1000 is the long awaited update of the very popular Motorola A925 the 3G PDA Handset. This update has been in the pipeline since February 2004 and was released late October 2004.
The A1000 is exclusively available on the 3G network, and is able to support all the features of the 3G network. Such as video calling, video messaging and downloading video clips. The A1000 houses a widescreen 65k TFT colour display allowing it to be bright and vivid and easy to see in any light. The screen is touch sensitive like most PDAs and offers handwriting recognition. Seeing as it has a quality screen you need a quality camera to go with it, therefore Motorola have given the A1000 a cool 1.2 megapixel camera with 4x digital zoom and a standard camera for video calling. Just incase you get bored there is a MP3 player with dual speakers for superb sound quality. The A1000 supports emailing and you can set it up with your own email accounts. Just in case you really want to take your A1000 to the extreme there is a Picsel document viewer which supports the following documents Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and Adobe PDF.
The phone is capable of Java, so you can download your applications and games to the handset. The A1000 has MP3 ringtones and polyphonic so you can have your favorite song as your ringtone. Bluetooth for wireless connectivity and assisted GPS so you can never lose track of where you are. The phone has an overall memory capacity of 24MBs and is upgradeable using a TransFlash memory card. You even take your new toy to America with you as it is Triband compatible.
