Motorola were one of the first to realise that people wanted a nice sized, decent phone with Satellite Navigation built in. So that they didn’t have to carry two devices around with them. Motorola's solution was the A780! Which meets peoples demands and more, its also very nicely priced too.
So the Sat Nav bit first, the software that is preinstalled on to the A780 is called CoPilot Live. The on-board maps provide street level detail as well as other useful information such as a comprehensive database of hotels, house numbers and airports etc. And it has postcode searching which is quite a good thing when you’re trying to find somewhere you have never been before. All the maps for the Sat Nav are conveniently stored on a 256Mb Transflash memory card. Motorola only supply you with the UK maps but maps of Europe are available from their website.
On to the phone its self, the design of the A780 is pretty sleek, it has a touch screen so that you can use and view the Sat Nav easily in your car, as well as using the A780 as a phone. You wouldn’t have thought it but the A780 is actually quite good as a mobile too. It has 1.3 megapixel camera, a video recorder and playback facilities built in. There is an MP3 player so that you can listen to your music, which supports WAV/AMR/WMA and AAC files. It has Bluetooth technology so that you can connect to another phone or device without wires! There is a built in PDF viewer and support for Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint Documents. The A780 is also Quad Band so it will work in a lot of countries.
Compare the Motorola A780 with another phone...
