The New Motorola E550 is based on the earlier Motorola V300 and is available exclusively on the T-Mobile network. The New E550 adds the much needed features to bring it into line with the current phones on the market. It features a cool 65k colour screen and a camera which has up to 4x digital zoom and is capable of capturing and playing back videos with sound. It has Motorola’s trademark feature the “Motomixer” which allows you to create your own ringtones. But all is not lost because if you don’t see your self as a bit of a DJ you have polyphonic or MP3 ringtones to choose from.
The E550 has Java games so you can download extra games to the handset and store them in the phones 5MBs of memory. And just in case you know too many people there is phonebook that can store up to 1000 entries! There is Bluetooth for wireless connectivity to a PC/Laptop or another Bluetooth device. The E550 is also quad band so it will work in most countries.
Compare the Motorola E550 with another phone...

| I have had the e550 for about 9 months and so far it has been a good phone but it is not much competition for most of the other phones on the market it has got everything you would want but not really enough memory to use it all as with many of the Motorola flip phones they are limited to the 5Mb of memory and the video time and quality are not great the maximum video time is about 30 seconds. When you compare that to the new Samsung D600 it is very poor or even to the D500. But for the money it is a reasonable video phone it is a reasonable phone and it looks good I would recommend this phone to people looking to get their first camera or video phone as it is very easy to use. |
