Motorola ROKR E1 Mobile Phone Reviews

So the ROKR E1 is the first phone from Motorola to have the iTunes software built in. Which allows you to transfer your music from your PC nice and easily!

Unfortunately the ROKR E1 has been getting some bad press recently, a lot of people have been comparing it to the Sony Ericsson W800i, and when you put them against each other the W800 is a higher specification but the RORK E1 is a lot cheaper and it’s actually not that bad!

The camera on the E1 is only a VGA camera which gives reasonable quality when you look at it on the screen however if your looking to print your images or put them on your PC they don’t look that great. Needless to say like all good Motorola handset it is fully equipped with video capture and playback along with zoom. The screen on the E1 is an amazing 256k colours which gives great quality.

Obviously the E1 has a music player, and the phone even has a dedicated one-touch music key. And even though the music player is Apple iTunes you can use the MP3 format of music as well as AAC. Motorola have installed a cool set on speakers on the phone as well, the speakers give you 3D stereo sound for a cool music experience. The phone has 5Mb of internal memory which isn’t much at all so Motorola put a 512Mb card in the box. As the phone can take TransFlash memory cards.

Other features of the ROKR E1 include; Bluetooth for wireless connectivity, Java games and applications, a Speaker phone and its Triband too.

Important! Avoid this phone at all costs! Yes it comes with iTunes and on the face of it's not bad but the reliability of it is worse than awful. It's crashed on me more times than I can count and the predictive text dictionary has become corrupt on 2 separate occasions forcing me to reset the phone and lose all information contained upon it. The menu's are OK as are the size and weight but nothing can outweigh its poor excuse for software.Avoid, it will cause you more problems than you'll imagine!
