The V220 is Motorola's entry-level clam shell, offering a decent range of features all at an attractive price. It looks very similar to its big brothers, the V300, V500 and V600, but doesn't have all of their featues. The V220 does have a camera and digital zoom, and the camera is pretty decent compared to other phones on the market in this price range. The V220 has polyphonic ringtones and MP3 ringtones allowing you to have your favourite song as your ringtone. And has Motomixer (which seems to be Motorolas trade mark feature), allowing you to create and mix your very own ringtone!
The phone comes with two games pre-installed such as Hungry Fish and OptItOut but you can download extra games that would probably sound more exciting. The V220 has a built in speaker phone, a picture phone book and has 1.8Mbs of internal memory for storing your pictures and games. The phone is Triband so it will work in America (network dependant).
Compare the Motorola V220 with another phone...

| Fab little phone, bought in replacement of my stolen Nokia 3220 as a phone to tide me over until I could get a decent one on contract. Absolutely no problems with it. Withstands being dropped mutliple times! Menu is easy to use. Good phone for teenagers as its cheap to buy and comes with all the basic facilities. VGA camera is very grainy but good enough for a first phone for someone. Holds up to 70 texts, over 200 phone contacts. Fits very snugly into your pocket as it is quite small and fairly lightweight. Good basic phone. |
