The Samsung D600 is a follow up to the hugely popular D500. The handset that literally made the country go mad. (but don't worry I am taking the proper medication) Will the D600 do the same to people only time will tell but after playing with the phone, it seems with the features that this phone has it could be a possibility.
Samsung have upgraded the camera from a 1.3 megapixel to a 2 megapixel camera, which gives it a good chance against the K750i. Although the camera is 2 megapixel and the screen has 256k colours, somewhere the two seem to let each other down. As when you view your images on the screen they don't look that fantastic. But maybe its just us? But apart from the camera what else have they upgraded I hear you ask, well the answer is not a lot else really. The best thing they have done is added the ability to upgrade the memory with the use of a transflash card. Which is always a good thing if you are going to make full use of the phones features. The other thing they have added which seems a bit gimmicky to us, is. . . .the ability to connect your phone to your TV using the TV output connection on your phone! That's right the TV Output on your phone! Amazing for some and not for others. Again is one of the those thing you will either love or hate.
But apart form that the standard features of the D500 still remain such as the MP3 player, video capture and playback. The phone also has Bluetooth for wireless connectivity. But overall seems a good upgrade from Samsung will just have to wait and see if it really kicks off.
Compare the Samsung D600 with another phone...

| The D500 is a superb phone with all the features you require ( Bluetooth, IRDa, SMS, MMS, MP3s etc). The hugely anticipated upgrade D600 is absolutely exactly the same - only difference is a TV Output that most people will never use, and a better camera - although the screen resolution is the same as the D500 so the upgrade to phone is useless anyway! It is still a BRILLIANT Phone. But what I would say is if you have already got the D500 stick with it, if you haven't got a D500 see if you can get hold of one coz it will give you the same standard of technology but at a cheaper price as the D600 is more expensive at present due to it being new!! |
