The D840 seems to be a follow on from the popular Samsung D800. It adds some improvement to its features and is slightly sleeker then the D800. This is aside they are very similar handsets.
There is a built in 2 megapixel camera which offers video recording capabilities and also has a built in flash so you can capture those images in those not so well lit areas. The D840 has TV Output which allows you to connect your phone to your TV so you can watch your videos and view your images on the big screen. It's not all about imagery though, the D840 also has a Music player which supports MP3/AAC/AAC+ & WMA music files. And memory isn't an issue as the D840 has 70MB of internal memory and the ability to expand the memory using a microSD memory card. Other features include; MP3 & polyphonic ringtones, a document viewer to allow you to view Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF documents. The D840 is also Triband so will work in America.
