Samsung U600 Mobile Phone Reviews

The U600 is the most powerful phone in the new Ultra Edition II range. Building on the success of Samsungs first Ultra Edition range, Samsung now bring you the “Ultra Edition II” range. Delivering you another three handsets all with great features whilst still being small and compact. The U600 builds on the success of the D900 which was the handset from the first Ultra Edition.

These handsets have been based around been small and still having a great range of features and the Ultra Edition II delivers this fantastically. The U600 measures up at a mere 10.9mm which is fantastic considering what the features are available on the U600! There is an awesome 3.2 Megapixel camera with auto focus, a flash and the ability to record video clips. There is a built in FM Radio and music player so if you like listening to your music on the move, this has got to be given some consideration. The U600 has 60Mb of internal memory which is expandable with the use of a microSD memory card, giving you more room for your music and images.

But it isn't all about play there is also some business functions included on the handset such as Business card recognition, a document viewer allowing you View Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF documents. At first I absolutely LOVED this phone, I mean everything about it was brilliant. I took amazing care of it, I didn't take the protective screen off for 3 weeks, I didn't drop it and I put it in a case, THEN IT ALL WENT VERY WRONG!! After a week or so the screen started to leak its colours or show no display whatsoever and I had to turn the phone off then on again repeatedly for it to appear normal. At first I thought it would be OK and I waited a few more days and then decided to complain. Vodafone said they would send me a replacement but cancelled it as I didn't complain in the 14 day guarantee which I didn't have a clue about and to make it worse they didn't tell me they cancelled the replacement and now I've had to suffer with this one until they decide to fix it for me. Just over one month on, the screen now shows no display whatsoever, even after been turned on and off and I have just been sent the repair package and to top it all off I still have to pay the contract without using the phone anyway!!! To anyone thinking to buy this phone DON'T CONSIDER IT. To be honest you're much better off considering a SONY ERICSSON as my sister just got the new one and it is an amazing phone with NO FLAWS!! AN EXTREMELY UNHAPPY SAMSUNG/VODAFONE CUSTOMER! Natasha xx

I bought this phone today, and I have to say I am so far very impressed with it. First off - it looks amazing - really thin with a large screen that is stunning - the colors on screen are so bright and very impressive. Delving into the phone, it has a lot of applications and things; it is capable of so much I'm sure I'm yet to find out. You can either chose to have a black or white theme to the background which both look good.

MP3s - the phone itself stores 15 songs, which is reasonable considering you can buy a memory card if you want more. The speaker sound is out of this world for a phone! I can't believe it - I think the Bang and Olsen sound really makes a difference. The only real draw back about the Music player is that you are supposed to connect it up to Windows media player - but I have a Mac and so I am not able to do that - however I don't think this really matters because I have been able to Bluetooth the files.

Camera - the camera is great - it has a flash, and so much more: different settings for different lights, effects, and even Macro (for close up shots) It has a place where you can edit the photos- changing levels/contrast (very impressive for a photo lover like me) etc!

Other bits include the general things like calendar, java games (comes with two, as well as some demos which you can purchase), you can have personalized ringtones, there is a radio, & there are also extra nice little features like changing the font or the way you read your texts. Etc.

I have heard a lot about 'annoying touch sensitive buttons' but there are only 4 touch sensitive buttons, and I find them really nice to use. I haven't accidentally rang anybody or anything, although I do occasionally exit what I'm doing, but that's fine as I can just get straight back to it again. I am still getting used to texting on this phone, but the buttons are actually quite large, so it's relatively easy.

I have also heard a lot about bad battery life, and as I have only had it for a day I can't really comment fairly on it - but so far, my battery has gone down - however I have been playing around with it ALL DAY.

Overall I absolutely love the phone, and would highly recommend it (the rest of my family have all recently bought new phones and are all jealous of this one). A slightly poor battery life should not put anybody off this phone, or the rubbish about annoying buttons, because you will regret not buying it. Just remember to charge it each night and I'm sure it will be fine!

Hope this helped!! & hope if you do buy it, that you love it as much as I do! (And I never even thought I was a 'phone person')

Only had the phone for a few hours but very, very impressed. Found it hard to get used to at first with the touch sensitive screen, but now i love it. Best phone i've seen for a while, much better than my old Sony Ericsson D750i.
