Another cracking walkman device from Sony Ericsson! The W880i is a mobile phone, digital camera, video recorder and a music walkman all crammed into one tiny device. The W880i is a mere 9.4mm thin, one of the thinnest on the market! It even has 3G technology which allows you to make and receive video calls.
Sony Ericsson are best known for their awesome cameras, with the W880i this is no different… It has a built in 2 megapixel camera which is capable of recording and playing back video clips. As this is a Walkman branded handset it features the latest Sony Ericsson walkman player which allows you to sort and play your music just like you would on your iPod. If you're in to your music then you will love this next feature… The handset features TrackID which allows you to point your phone in the direction of the music and the handset will then tell you the artist and the track name. Pretty neat.
Other features of the W880i include Bluetooth technology for wireless connectivity to another Bluetooth phone or device. The internal memory of the W880i is 32Mb this is also expandable using a M2 memory card.
Compare the Sony Ericsson W880i with another phone...

I had this phone a little while ago, but returned it for 2 reasons: 1) The buttons were seriously small for the fingers of a bananaman, and 2) The battery life wasn't really what a superhero has come to expect, especially if it should run out whilst fighting crime in some far flung corner of our fair Earth. Having said that, however, I did like the phone feature wise, it had a good interface and was indeed pleasing to the eye. Even the banana eye..! And it was designed with music in mind, so no surprise that it should rock in that particular arena. Camera was just average. So - if you have small fingers and are often close to power supplies, it's ya baby... Otherwise, try b4 ya buy! And I should say, I'm fairly dexterous with ma digits, from spending many a year playing with ma special banana. It's all part of the job! Peace all.

Fantastic phone! It was either this or a Blackberry 8800. Chose this as didn't want to be chained to my work like so many poor souls on the commute. With the Sony Ericsson W880i you get entertainment and I can sync it with my Google Calendar via my MacBook's iSync. one snag though, call volume doesn't seem strong. This is my 2nd unit. I know SE generally have low sound issues, but my 2nd one is noticeably lower than the 1st. Anyone else experiencing the same? Any solutions?

The phones features are great, good music player, camera's ok and it looks brilliant. However, none of this matters, as the phone freezes up and switches it self off! Mine has now completely broken, and won't switch back on! And it's only 6 weeks old! PS. don't get it from Vodafone either; their customer service is rubbish!
